Well, we've heard that the group arrived safely in DFW. Hope everyone is getting settled in. Jon and I and a few others stayed over in Dubai for a couple of days and will be leaving on tonights 2 a.m. flight back to the states. Please pray for our group of 10 for safety as we head home.
This was a GREAT trip; a fantastic sweet, cooperative group of kids and wonderful sponsors. We held babies, painted buildings, planted trees, shoveled dirt, dug holes, fed the hungry, ran four different VBS groups, a 5K race, provided tons of clothes and materials, built buildings for the Masaai, and most importantly preached the gospel.
I love the sign above Mr. Connolly's desk in the art dept. by St. Francis of Assisi. It kind of embodies what we try to do through this trip:
"Preach the gospel at all times. When necessary, use words."
Thank you so much to everyone for their great attitudes, hard work and dedication. We love you all!
